S1 & S2 Blue Skies

The S1 & S2 Blue Skies programme is now underway, so players, mums and dads should now expect a fixture at least every fortnight. Depending on availability and coaching requirements, we may be able to organise games in intervening weeks. The fixture list wil be updated soon, but meantimen, fixtures will continue to be posted above on a weekly basis. Sat 26th April & Saturday 3rd May are fixture days, with morning kick offs, please note this and make parents aware too.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

If you have not paid your subscriptions for this year, now is the time to do so as it is now well overdue (Newcomers, you always have a few weeks grace).
So can you please either bring cheque or a cash and see Jan in the clubhouse on Sunday 9th March.

(Anyone for whom this might present a genuine difficulty, please speak to Jan
in confidence and let her know.)

Our website
We're rugby people, not web people. We've put the site together ourselves to provide basic info & details for Mums & Dads, Guardians, Carers of our Minis & Midis sections. It's not perfect, but it does the job. We endeavour to keep the basic info up to date and we like trying to make it look better .... so it's possible its look will change over the next week or two .. before "settling down" for the season.

If you have any info you want to see on the site email Stephen Running with your suggestions and we'll see what we can do.

Fixture links

Minis (P1-P7)

S1 & S2

Under 15

Under 16

Note re U15 Fixtures.

Currently am organising fixtures for Under 15s, however we need numbers guys.

'New Parents' - please read our Parents Handbook - it needs updating but it has some very useful info re kit

"Parents Handbook'

Our Parents'
handbook can be downloaded here, with info on CarthaKids and some useful suggestions on how to prepare and get your child ready for rugby on Sundays at Cartha.

A NOTE ON THE WAYS WE COMMUNICATE

With over 100 kids in the Minis section, phoning & even texting everyone is almost impossible. As such we have a "Comms Strategy" which goes as follows

1. WEBSITE (HERE)
Weekly happenings
are posted on frontpage of website & updated...even on a Sunday morning, if need be.

2. Emails
- we send emails each week, confirming what is on the website. With kids joining at different times of the year, email groups can be hard to keep up to date, so if you're not getting one, email me using minisconvenor@carthakids.com with your name, your kids name and Primary group & it will be added.

3. The CarthaKidsRugby Facebook Page
we have a facebook page and many of us visit daily...Game day plans, changes, lift requests etc - FB provides a very quick way of getting inof out. I'd urge you to join

4. Twitter
Instant way of getting info out - I tweet under the name @Carthakids - usually all about rugby so follow and instant updates will appear.

BOOTS & KIT 'RECYCLING' - CHECK WITH US BEFORE BUYING!

A note to remind you of our "boot exchange" programme. Kids grow quickly, they outgrow their boots. We try to make it easier by encouraging parents to hand in any boots that the kids have outgrown and then to see if there is a pair in the pool that they can swap them for - don't buy a pair without checking with us first..... don't forget to hand them in too! ALSO - rugby strips.....we're always looking for small strips, particularly for the new tinies.
